What to fly, I wonder?  It should be something appropriate, something relevant.

A Bleriot monoplane would be good, but it's not exactly fast and I want to arrive before midnight.

Concorde, perhaps?  It should certainly win the race!

I was considering a Red Arrows Hawk (either one, or a formation) but then realised the Patrouille de France would be even more fitting.  All nine of them, naturally.  But you won't be able to see them arriving over Calais unless you download the file first.

See you tonight.

A fun time, thanks for organising this one Jimbo.  Grin

I'm still trying to figure how an identical plane, flying at the same altitude and pointing in the same direction, almost caught up with me at the end!

Let's try that Bleriot over a shorter course some time, say straight across the channel as it was originally done?  Only I'll fly an Antoinette instead 'cos the Bleriot is just so ugly...
