During WW2, what major fighting power used paddlewheel steamer aircraft carriers?

I should say America. Possibly from a converted paddle steamer?

IIRC the USN used a few paddle wheelers as training carriers on the Great Lakes.

Did a little research to refresh my memory...yep, they used two.

Wolverine and Sable were converted from side wheel steamers.

Look at the bottom of the page.

Indeed, I have huge portfolios and things all dedicated to trying to figure out how you think. Soon I'm hoping to have enough info to pre-empt your questions so I'll just be able to post an answer for you to agree to. Smiley
