Scene of accident: Øresund, near Copenhagen
Type crash: enginestop, with crashlanding in the sea
Type flight: private
weather condition: METAR EKCH 141150UTC: 18004KT 9999 CAVOK 15/8 Q1012
Light condition: daylight
Flight type: VFR
Travel plan: VFR
Persons aboard: 1
Person injury: none
Damage on aircraft: Serius damage on both wings. undercarrige collapset
Other damage: Serius hole in water
Aircraft captain:
-sex/age: Female, 4 years
-certificate: PPL-B (bird) JAR-FCL
-flight experience: 2000hours, where 2000 hours on this type
Infomation: Witnessobservasions from flightapproved photograf

Actual information
The witness reported that the aircraft was on final in what he calls "almost supersonic!". Suddenly it just dropped.

FAA conclusion:
Aircrafts of this type has shown to be hardly controllable in the air, speacilly in turbulent airconditions. Investgations of the aircraftshow that the fuel pump was sealed again by fat. To avoid stalling the aircraft, the pilot saw it nessesary to drop the aircraft to keep the airflow over the wing. Remains after redwine and bread was later found in the aircraft cabin. The conclusion is that the crash was caused by a sealed fuelpump system, that caused engine faliure, and a pilot a bit drunk, caused by redwine.

And why would the FAA investigate a crash in Denmark in the first place Wink
Which authority who has the right to investigate aircrashes is actually a question in the PPL Airlaw test  Grin
