Has anybody else tried this? Its off the hoooooook! Really looks awesome. Here is a link. Replaces your sky textures. Makes the sim look much more relistic. I never knew that changing sky textures could make the sim look so much less cartoony! And its cheap.

Well changing sky textures can be acheived with FS Sky World 2004...in my opinion, way better than Flight Environement....(I have both, but prefer FSSkyWorld)....

I have also used FS Sky World. The sky textures are good but still do not compare to this product. The author is working on an installer to change out seasonal textures. I personally cannot wait for it. I am sure there will be some reviews on this product soon.
Here is a statement the designer passed on to me.
I've been involved in FS for many years (published six books and countless "Crosswinds" columns on the subject). So I speak with some experience when I say I believe your FS Atmosphere is the single most important add-on the history of the program.I am absolutely enthralled by the light and color FSA sheds on <everything>!
--Charles Gulick
Now I have lots of respect for Charles so I would tend to believe this statement. I have just started flying with the textures but I will post some screenshots soon. But all I can say is when I look out my passenger window of the PMDG 747 everything looks so absolutely real. I understand that FS SKY WORLD is a great freeware program, but I have never thought that I was looking at a real sky!
FS Atmosphere is simply stunning.

From the rather poor shots they have on the site it doesn't even come close to Flight1's Flight Enviroment. Save your dosh and either go with FSSkyWorld or save up a bit and go with Flight Enviroment.
I can never understand why developers produce such poor shots of their products. ??? ??? ???

FS SkyWorld is definitely what to go for. Even if it may not be up to the standard of Flight Environment (I don't know whether it is), being free, its definitely worth having over a payware product. The clouds I have installed, IMO, are the best clouds I've seen with any FS9 addon.

I agree the shots on sim-market are not good. But the product itself looks great. As for fs sky world. I believe it has the same options for sky textures as active sky 5 since the texture changer and textures for active sky is made by the same guy who does FS Sky World. And they look VERY CARTOONY.
Comparing the sky textures and only the sky textures from flight enviroment,FS Sky World, or Active sky 5 to FS Atmospere is like comparing a Yugo to a BMW. They get the job done but do not even compare to the best. I understand paying money to get a couple of textures is not everybodies cup of tea. But for me having the best looking enviroment possible is one of my favorite things about FS.
I also own the PMDG 747 and the Captain Sim C130 alot of people tell me well there are great freeware planes out there why spend twice the amount of the original sim on two airplanes. My answer to them is "I want the best" the same goes for my sky textures.
Peace and Respect

I understand and respect your opinion and all, but about the Yugo/BMW comparison...far from it! I just can't see how the FS Atmosphere clouds look any better than these, especially for a sum of money.

FS atmosphere has nothing at all to do with cloud textures. Just the reflection of light from the sky textures on the clouds. Sky textures= the background of your sim. It works with any cloud add on and does not change the clouds. I agree FS Sky World has awesome cloud textures. What I was comparing is strickly the sky(background) textures.I guess the way I should have explained it was color of the sky . I personally like the clouds from Flight enviroment. The water effects from Birds Eye View. The reflections maps from the freeware Vater.zip and my sky textures are FS Atmosphere. The realest enviroment I have seen yet.
I am starting my sim to get some screenies. I will post soon.

Ah yes, I see what you were getting at. But I'll stick to my guns, due to the amount of sky textures you can actually choose from FS SkyWorld. Obviously, you can see my chosen daytime and dusk sky textures in my shots.
