Hi guys,

I have a rubbish problem.  I cannot seem to download a single file from this site.  Before anyone says anything I have looked at the help provided and done everything it says and nothing has changed!  When I click on a file's link in my firefox browser it opens the new download window perfectly, then I click download file...  Then nothing happens and firefox says the operation timed out!  This has happened every single time!  It's meant to work with firefox.  The progress bar doesn't even load!  Does anyone know what this means?  And, internet explorer doesn't even begin to work!  I've even tried switching off my firewall and it makes no difference at all!  It used to work when I switched it off, now nothing happens!  Please I really need some help.  Didn't know if this was the right forum to post this in either so sorry for that.

Thanks
Greg

All work fine  for me - & no other reprts.
Whenever there is a serious server problem my email inbox gets lots of messages.

Please give a specific example - page & file - because the servers - site & file servers - are working fine

thx

Hi Pete,

Thanks for replying, sorry been in exams.  It's happening with any file that I try download!  It can't possibly be the actual file, I must have tried about 10 different ones!  These problems just started happening!  I don't know whats wrong with any of my settings!  Do you maybe have an idea?  It won't work with Internet Explorer, Firefox or Opera.

Oh and I uninstalled my download managers and it still doesn't work!  I also tried switching off my firewall and it still didn't work.  It's like I can't even link to the site, it simpy gives me that MS note saying page cannot be found.  Why would that happen?  I'm so lost.  Everything was working perfectly a few weeks ago, I could just switch off my firewall which I shouldnt but I would be abe to download with my download manager.  I have no idea what could have just happened!

Anyway I'd appreciate any help.

Thanks
Greg

Hi Pete,

Tried a friends laptop who I live with and stuff downloaded fine.  So it's definitely my side!  Would anyone be able to help me though?  Or am I in the wrong forum?  Please this is such a pain since I can't download a bloody thing!
