A B-17 is available at http://www.avhistory.org/
A (rather beta) B-29 is at http://www.sim-outhouse.com/
Other than that, there B-17, B-24 and B-29 in a payware pack named "Firepower.

The upcoming and free "Mediterranean Airwar" addon will have both a B-17 and B-24.

If you're also into German bombers visit http://www.groundcrewdesign.com/

FIREPOWER is really cheap now from Amazon, and you get a lovely B-29, as well as two flavours of B-17, and most importantly, a LANCASTER!!!!  8)

I'd use AVHistory's Lancaster, but they haven't finished it yet - hint hint.
However, I do recommend their current B-17, and eagerly await the future updates.

Finally a B-17! Smiley Can't wait to fly "A bit o'lace" Grin

Hope to man some Kondor defensive guns sometime 8)

Also, at GroundCrew you should all check out the Bf-110G4 nightfighters. There's Martin Drewes's personal plane and the mount of Wilhelm Johnen. They are must-gets for all Nachtjäger enthusiasts.

Cheers

justflight.com     do the B17 memphis belle for CFS3 which is an addon with missions for £14.99p
it works well in CFS3 but has some quirky flight in A1 mode{plane dives alarmingly to low alititude.....which is annoying when you have spent some time gaining hight}.......multi-position and nicely modelled with excellent engine sounds.

Dunno, the buggers won't release it.

Memphis Belle from Just Flight is good too, as hilly9 says. However, if you also have the Firepower pack, you need a Just Flight Patch to enable them not to conflict with each other. That's available from the JustFlight site.

The other snag with Belle is that JF screwed up the multiple engines for the CFS3 version. The config file has them superimposed on top of each other,so if you have multiple throttle controls and you increase the outer port throttle, the aircraft flies straight, whereas it should veer to starboard. To fix it, you need to copy the engine positions from the FS2004 config (which are correct) and paste them over the CFS3 config.
