Hi all,

I've just taken a little job at the BFU office, not sure when i'm gonna start it yet. But if anybody would like to come along for the ride then your more than welcome.

I will probably start this evening about 8:30 & I will post the server here before I start.

Here's the job:
Quote:
Fox Camps have just radioed BFU North Base that they are in urgent need of supply runs. A large shipment of food and fishing supplies just arrived yesterday, and has only just been unloaded. This is all at Fox Camp, lying outside the main cabins. The Fox Outposts have run out of supplies. Normally the Fox Camp float planes could do it, but they are down for repairs right now. You need to fly from BFU North in either a floatplane or Helicopter. Once at Fox Camp, load up a full load of supplies (600 lbs). Then head to each of the Fox Outposts, in whatever order makes sense to you.
You need to supply:
Fox Outposts 1,2 and 3.(200 lbs each) Check the GPS to find their locations. Approach at your discretion, but be advised, the approachs can be very hard! (Especailly for a float plane).

At each location, park on the beach near the cabin, then unload the cargo. Take on any trash the outposts may have (a few lbs at each site). When you are done visiting each, fly back to BFU North and unload any trash for shipping out. Then head into the lounge and take a break!

Scenery Required: Fox Camp & Fox23 by Naji Chehabeddine

Foxcamp scenery available here.
BFU North available here.

You don't need to have the scenery, but it sure makes the trip a whole lot more fun.

PS: the camps won't be on any maps or on your GPS, so you may want this crude map I just made up - i'll use the GPS & this map to get where we're going Smiley
...
Oh yeah - & plane that floats would be a bonus but not essential Wink

Cheers,

TSC.

I'm stuck during the days unfortuantely Theis & I really only get time to fly once my son has gone to bed, which is 8pm GMT. Otherwise I can't fly & keep him out of trouble at the same time. I could do the flight Saturday night, although it would be at roughly the same time as tonight.

Cheers,

TSC.

Hi Tweek,

I will probably be using the Maule Amphib, although this will mean scrimping on fuel to allow for the 600lbs of gear - we can always refuel at one of the camps.

Pilot = 200lbs
Gear= 600lbs

Fuel:
Left Aux = 14%
Left = 25%
Right = 25%
Right Aux = 14%

& Thies, let me know if you can get an extension on your time for tomorrow night & I will do the flight then if thats ok.

Sorry for the late reply guys - kids - who'd have 'em Roll Eyes

Cheers,

TSC.

FINAL REVISION:

Just checked & the Maule is no good, I will have to take the
Super Otter
instead.

Will be using Bushnet2 at 66.75.27.105 (on port 23456)

Hi Tweek,

I'm just waiting on a reply from Theis (I've PM'd him) to see if he can fly it tomorrow night, when would you rather fly tonight or tomorrow??

Cheers,

TSC.

EDIT: Well Theis seems to be offline for the night now, so if you can fly tomorrow night i'll make sure i'm ready for 20:30 GMT.

As a revision, I will be flying the DHC3 Super Otter (Available at nonodes & BFU linked here). But you can fly whatever you like.

Flight is set for Sat 26th Nov. 20:30GMT - departing BFU North (14nm from PANT)

Hi Theis...!

The obvious answer is to offer to clean and polish Dad's car...
Help Mum with her shopping.
Mow the lawn when the grass needs cutting.
Keep your bedroom clean and tidy.
Offer to do your own washing.
Offer to do the Hoovering and dusting.
Wash up your dirty cups and plates.

Suck your girlfriend at her place...not yours.

...this will be a good start...
..trust me... Wink...!

Cheers Mate...!

Right you are. I've been waiting for some MP flying in this area. 8)

I agreed to eat lunch over at my mom's house, so I probably won't be able to get on before 2200 GMT.

I could probably rush it, but i've already cancelled doing things with my mom 3 times within the last couple weeks for flying. She may not be too happy if I start doing it for the flight simulator Grin

OK for anyone not having (or wanting to install) the BFU scenery:

Get and install Alaska AFCAD package (follow instructions on avsim to get the right one for your setup)

ICAO codes for the airports (or closest airstrip)
BFU North (AKA 'Bush Flying Unlimited North'): 0AK4
Fox Camp: PAFX, has both seaplane and gravel runways.

Destination airports
Fox Outpost 1: PAFO, Fox Outpost (seaplane only)
Fox Camp Outpost 2: Closest is BGL, Big Goat Lake cabin (Seapolane only)
Fox Camp 3: Closest is WLC, Winstanley Lake Cabin(seaplane only)

If you have a decent bushplane, landing on the beach is possible too

Russian planes: IL-76 (all standard length ones),  Tu-154 and Il-62, Tu-134 and An-24RV&&&&AI flightplans and repaints can be found here

Hi Lads...!
Thanks for the fly-out in the Alaskan Bush... Grin...!

Finally sussed-out why the scenery didn't show up in some of the locations for Tweek and myself...

TSC's link pointed to just one of the download locations....
...but you need to download, and install all SIX locations...>>>
Avsim Base.
Fox Camp.
Fox Outposts 2 & 3.
Moudi Farm.
Sandy Cove.
Shore Point.

Another tip....
If any of the trees appear just as white oblongs, then the included tree textures need adding to the FS 2004 "Texture Folder"... Shocked...!

Once all this "complicated" procedure has been carried out, (taking many days), all will be revealed on your monitor...
...trust me... Grin...!

all your necessary bits and pieces can be found here...>>>good luck...LOL...!

http://www.avsim.com/bfu/scenery_Naji.html

Cheers all...!

Paul...always up for a bit of "Bush" examination... Wink...!

You don't need to install all of those scenery's Fozz, you only need the scenery for where you want to go to, in this case 'Foxcamp' (inc. Outpost 1) & the 'Foxcamp Outposts' (2 & 3) - the texture.zip files & Gerrish Grays Trees.zip only need to downloaded once into your texture files as the same textures are used for each different location.

See here:

Hi TSC...(You have to have a REAL name!...LOL...)...!

Did as you suggested above...
...but all the other locations didn't show up...
Avsim Base.
Moudi Farm.
Sandy Cove.
Shore Point.

They all had to be downloaded and installed as well...at 4 meg per download...on a 56K modem...ZZZZzzzzzzz......!
LOL...!
Done it this morning...NOW it works...!!
