Hi! I'm kinda new to this, so I was wodnering, can you make an existing aircraft into scenery? If so, how, and what all tools do you need? What I'm trying to do is convert the Aircraft Carrier from CFS2 into scenery.

The simple answer is "yes", however it depends on the .mdl
of the aircraft in question.

There is a tool, MDLtoBGL.exe ( search for it ) that will do the
conversion IF the model is recofnized.
I've found that only the older mdl files, those prior to FS9 and
perhaps even FS2K2, will be recognized.

If it is recognized, it's a simple matter of inputting the desired
LAT/LON/HDG info and cranking out the BGL file.

Now, my question is, is this for FS2004? If so, there are
loads of "scenery" carriers available. Some that can be moved
to anywhere you want them. Others that are pre-positioned.

Using these makes more sense than trying to use an older MDL.
If your application is for CFS2, then I'm afraid I don't know the
details of that sim.

Thanks! I'll try it. And yah, I know but there are no WWII Era carriers that I can find. And it uses a model from CFS2 for use in 2004.

EDIT
Bah! No luck!
