On Saturday November 19th at 9pm eastern standard time we will strive to complete the two following hops

Route between KOXC (OXFORD, CONNECTICUT, USA) and N07 (LINCOLN PARK, NEW JERSEY, USA):
Distance along great circle: 71.4 statute miles, 62.0 nautical miles, 114.9 kilometers
Initial true great circle heading: 239.5 degrees (west-southwest)

As this flight is going to be roughly 205nm I would once again recommend a high performace single engine aircraft such sa a mooney bravo, or a step up to the beechcraft baron.

As always if you are flying an addon aircraft I would suggest starting the flight in the default Baron first so that we see you as a  similar type of aircraft.

For this flight we will be taking SAM up on his gracious offer to use the teamspeak server he and his friends set up for our audio communication device. For more information about the teamspeak server and how to connect please see the following link:
http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=Multi;action=displ ay;num=1129930528

IP address for the session shall be announced closer to time of departure

For general questions please refer to the general question thread:
http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=Multi;action=display;num=1...;

Hope to see you there,

Jared

Ill be there, but for a plane, Im not sure.  I think I may fly the veneavions turbo commander, but thats a little fast.  Im gonna search for a plane this afternoon, but it will end up being the Turbo Commander or the Twin Bonanza if I dont find anything.

Since I have 2 routers [one from Vonage and the other is the main Cable modem], I'm trying something new.

1. I will disconnect my Vonage router.
2. Plug my computer directly to the cable model rather than through the Vonage router.
3. Try connecting from there.

The connection should end up like this:

Cable line > Cable modem > Computer

With the direct connection, I should have less problems linking up to your server.

Right now, my connection looks like this:

Cable line > Cable modem > Vonage router > Computer

*Vonage is a VoIP service that allows me to connect a regular phone device to the computer and use it while still connected to the internet*

Sounds like that might help us out there Katahu...I still haven't heard anything from the fshost designer as of yet about our situation.

Well, I did it. I disconnected the router and my computer directly connected.

At first it didn't work because my ip address was fixed or manually typed in [by me]. So, I went opened Local Area Connections > right-click and then Properties > Internet Protocol > Properties > then selected "obtain ip address automatically" as well as "obtain DNS <something-somthing> address".

Works like a charm now since I'm typing this post right now. Grin

Okay, I picked my plane.  The Aero Commander 560HC by Milton Shupe and Team.

If you want, get it at avsim, file name ac560vc9.zip.  ITs probably availiable elsewhere too.

I don't know much about these "Router" thingies, but with my dial-up modem card connected directly to my 'phone line, I've never had any problems getting connected to Multiplayer via the FS 9 Multiplayer Option.... Wink...!

FS9 > Dial-up Modem Card > Phone line.

Lots of players seem to have problems with multiplayer when using "Routers"... Cry...!

Cheers all...!
