The important fact is that to create a true FS2004 model we FSDS users now HAVE to look at all these gmax tutorials, xml animations, etc....

i guess...i mean this hobby is becoming a thing reserved for the gifted few (retired/non-students) because sadly i find that with the little time i have left i cant learn all the new tricks and aply them properly Sad

anyway, ill still design to pass the time...i hope that with tyhe new boolean thing, when a tube is created and after the boolean operation is done one is still able to edit the tube's cross-sections, unlike in FSDS2.24

No - once you screw up a structures point counts, etc., the structure gets shot to hell.

They key to any cutting is to do it last - AFTER you've set the basic shape in place.

One of the nice features about the boolean operation in FSDS3 is that you actually retain the original part and "tool" unaffected.  New parts are created with the results - keep what you want, toss what you don't want.

It's pretty nice. No problem moving my v2 Cessna P210 over. (man I forgot how much work building a plane is).

Nicest feature(s) so far, to me... is the unlimited un-do.. haven't tried the boolean yet.
