Hello.  How do you get the smaller planes (than bombers) i.e. zoro's and like, to attack air strips.  I have tryed everything,  they just come and go.
Thanks;
Vilik

The principle is the same with fighters as with bombers.

First pick a mission type that allows an attack waypoint, Strike, Search and Destroy, or CAS (use Anti-Ship for moving ships).  Lay out your waypoints and be sure to set the waypoint at the target as "Attack with ...".  Match the attack command to the proper type of weapon the fighter is carrying.

When setting my waypoints I like to start with a waypoint a few miles away from the target to give the AI planes a chance to set up for their attack.  Then, after setting the first attack waypoint,  I set a second "Turn" waypoint about a mile or two away, then a third waypoint back at the target that I set as "Attack w/ all weapons".  This gives me two separate attack waypoints on the target.  Placing a waypoint in between the two is designed to keep the game from counting the two attack waypoints as a single attack.

Finally, be patient.  Sometimes the AI fighters will attack on the first pass, sometimes they will fly around before attacking.  If you engage them in a dogfight they will put off their ground attack until after they've dealt with you.  In the end, I've found the stock fighters will hit their targets much like the stock bombers.

I use this same basic setup when flying a fighter with wingmen and attacking a ground target.  As above, sometimes they strike on the first run, sometimes I have to keep ordering them in, but in the end they will attack the target.

Vilik remember to slow down your attack planes before they hit their target. That way they can aim their attack point better.

Also designate them as Veterans aggressive or Ace aggresive. This will improve their chances that they will be accurate.

Last but not least you can press the letter T until you see a capital G in the left upper side of your tactical display.

Thats you ground target been display. Choose a target of your choice and command your squad to attack it.

If you follow Coyote instructions and my small tips you should bee successful.

Please come back and tell us if your attack was successful.

I hope I was helpful
