I'm in final testing of a full hands-off cat III-type autoland gauge, based on original XML code by Nick Pike, whose C4-SST has been in the FS2002 downloads here for some time. With his permission, I've revamped the C4 gauge for FS9 (and FS2002) to include:
- slowing of approach speed
- switching of lights and autopilot
- localiser/glideslope hold
- flap and landing gear deployment
- trim adjustment/flare at touchdown
- reverse thrust/autobrake

It will activate from an icon in the panel and will be compatible with all types of airliners - I've tested it with 737s and A319s to DC10s, 747s and A380s and it is compatible.

I'm currently writing the manual as well as doing final testing, so it should be in the downloads section in a few days.

I will sure get it... I can land the biggies - but would love an auto for foggy and other bad weather. After all real world pilots use it - so I don't feel bad!

The gauge is uploaded, so it'll be available at the next cycle.

Cool.  I'll be looking for it.

I doubt I'll use it much but it should be fun to see what it can do - and I'll finally have an answer for all those guys asking if there is one.

Nice work, Martyn.

I was out of town for Thanksgiving and didn't get a chance to test this until today.  Everything works just as advertised.  It's a hoot watching and listening to everything work automatically.

This seems to work fine with props, too, except that, having no autothrottle, you will still have to control the throttle manually.

They don't make it easy, do they?  Searching for "autoland" didn't find it.  Try here (the last one on the page).
