OK, I am working on a new design that shows that the USA is good at heart. When it is done, I will post it here. (Same design, different words)

Suit yourself. We don't go in for that jingoistic flagwaving nonsense where I live. It tends to upset people. You might like to remove the offending one first before it gets deleted. I note you didn't do anything about the file size although this was pointed out more than once.

It might help to reduce the size to 800 pixel width in accordance with the forum rules.

I know, but if I do that then I lose the detail and figures put in it. And  will respect your non-flagwaving views, just pleasee dont plaster them with me. No disrespect meant, but I am a full blown patriot who lives eats and sleeps military and USA.

Sorry. I might have been a tad harsh but what irritated me the most was that you took no notice of the forum rules on images, even though this was pointed out more than once. Patriotism is fine but taken to extremes can be dangerous. You must appreciate that not everyone looks at these things in the same way & constantly waving flags in people's faces tends to annoy them & could be seen as threatening. It's possible to be deeply patriotic without displaying it in public. I'm very proud of my country & love it dearly but I don't go around shouting about it. I think that my feelings are equally as important as yours.

After that little lecture which I'm sure you could have done without, what's the matter with this? 800 x 600 pixels & 97.8 Kb. http://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/Patriot_Act_smallb.jpg

I'm not going to reply on your picture, I just want to say one thing:
I like this place (and I think all the others do to), because it is one of the few forums in wich everybody treats eachother equally and respectfull. No "I am the best and you all suck!" around these parts...

Every time is see the "Stars and Stripes" perched in the corner of a room, or fluttering in someones garden, or stuck on the side of a Saturn V launch vehicle, or a stationary flag in a mock-up of the Moon landing in an American film, I immediately switch the television off and water the flowers instead... Wink... Grin...!
LOL...!
Sorry lads, but I really can't cope with all this American flag-waving malarky...Wink...!

Lovely though Americans are, I think that goes for most folks throughout the rest of Planet...Wink...!

Paul... 8)...!

ooopppsss...just opened another can of worms... Shocked... Wink... Grin...!

Sorry Foz, but I can't agree with you there. The flag on military uniforms, rockets or in front of the White House are there for a good reason.

All (evil) things are okay in a healthy dose - even patriotism and nationalism.

But this image shoots straight over the top.

Yep, you're quite right there. We have Union Jacks flying outside certain buildings/areas, my local police station for example. Uniforms, military equipment, etc, have the flags for identity (I presume), which is fine. Though I don't like it when it gets a little over the top. I don't have St. George's flag hanging out of my window...

Whilst in the British Army in the REME, the only emblem I had sewn on the sleeves of my jacket was the Crossed Keys, indicating the Army on the Rhine in Germany...
....not a Union Flag in sight... Wink...!
None of our vehicles had the Union Flag painted on them.

None of it seemed necessary, and would have served little purpose.

The lack of national emblems on our uniforms meant that were were inconspicuous, and less likely to be shot at by some someone with a particular grudge at our presence.

Different cultures, different traditions. The British have done more than their fair share of flag-waving in the past & we're still hated for it in some parts of the World. That all died out with the British Empire but it was a gradual process. It doesn't seem that long ago that it was quite normal to see servicemen thumbing lifts wherever you went in this country. Most people would stop & give them a lift. I don't think that's been allowed for some years now & members of the services no longer wear uniform unless they're on duty or taking part in a parade. I suspect the same applies to cadets as I haven't seen any around here for years except when marshalling at the local air display & the odd band parade. I used to proudly wear my ATC uniform in the street on the way to parade nights. I don't know how they go on now but I'm not sure that would be encouraged either.

OK, then as of this post, I will repost with the new edit. It is gona be within guidlines, and while it is the same backround, it has a poem on it as to what I think the US Military's call is. If this edit offends anyone, please tell me and I will remove it. Sorry if I offended anyone with the first one, that was not my intention.
