Hi everyone,

Ok, I've learnt the way to make scenery with a Google Earth image, the latest DXTBmp for black alpha channels and saving as DXT3, and Paint to paint the alpha copy. The scenery will be Manching Nachtjäger Airbase in Manching near Ingolstadt in Germany and I've got some photorealistic stuff. So, it will be done soon, but will take a while. Any comments?

Has anyone been around lately? This forum ain't looking lively! Undecided

If you're succesful at 'blending' ingolstadt will you do the other bases of Nachtjaeger! too? if so, you'll have to do the texture for stade 'cause I still haven't learned the blending technique. Roll Eyes

If I can get good background pics of Nachtjäger bases yep i suppose I'll blend 'em. I'm not suprised you can't quite do the technique, but I have got excellent instructions from Jaxon at SOH. I'll PM you the address of where the thread is soon, or else I'll 'compile' Jaxon's advice and say it quick and simple

I don't have that greater deal of a life in the late afternoon so I either sleep, read or get onto this computer Roll Eyes

The computer happens much more commonly though Embarrassed

Leeuwarden will need doing too so I'll try get some simple grass background, do just a bit of blending on the outside edges and sling in some runways and taxiways. I don't have much of a clue what Stade will be like or how I'll blend it, but it'll happen Roll Eyes

Parchim will probably have blended background and blended dirt taxiways if I can make out much on the bombing target photo, Werneuchen should be Google Earth blended and I'll have a go at looking for Stendal-Borstel on Google Earth, or else I'll just wait for Pen32Win's Euro Airfields Project to come out Tongue

Ingolstadt won't need as much alpha work as I thought, but there are unidentified buildings I need to somehow put in Roll Eyes

Ingolstadt will need GSL too, I might as well do that.
