Lovely shots there, are they flares being dropped in the last shot?

How did you get the flares to fade out like that but still burn on the bottom. Did you edit it or what? Cause I know for a fact that #4 ain't real. The cockpit and pilots are a give away.

1. It's #5
2. The flare is an effect included in the package (I think)
3. It's a bit offensive to say that it's definitely not real. Even if it is edited.

...and blckhawk, its not edited, its an effect with FS that I'm currently trying to solve...
As I'm at a certain distance from any light source, that annoying faded light effect kicks in, and it even applies to the PAPI lights...
