Continued on:-

...
A very good first display from the army's helicopter display force, the 'Blue Eagles'. They have 4 Gazelles and a Lynx, and are very good at what they do. It must take a lot of practice to loop a Lynx, after all.

...
Then the world famous Red Arrows arrived, all 11 of them (the two spare aircraft). Their display was later in the day.

...
And then, the Sepecat Jaguar arrived, wonderful display. Damn loud though, with full AB's going the gorund shook and I was rather deafened.  Grin

...
*Hehe* Merlin. I love these helicopters, it's like a cross between a CH-47 and a Lynx, quite versatile and so, well, useable. Great chopper.

If you know what a Hawk sounds like, multiply it by 2, and add afterburners!!! Grin

Nice shots! Smiley

Very nice. The weather looks a tad better than last year's show. Roll Eyes Wink

They look even better with smoke. Hope they get that nonsense sorted out for next year.

PS. The Jag is a very noisy aeroplane. Not as loud as a Harrier in the hover but loud. Wink

Budget cuts would then force them to forget it due to lack of money to pay for the smoke Roll Eyes Cheesy

Well, true, but I would say Harriers are louder Hagar, or maybe its because four of them were there when there was 1 Jag.....  ???

Some good displays there. Can't beat the Jaguar and the Red Arrows (the Merlin is pretty impressive too!)

Well, Harrriers don't have afterburners like the Jag so I don't think they would be as loud in normal flight. Depends how close they are really.
