I have a friend who has cfs by way of a crack file. I used my cd to install the game on his computer and gave him the crack file. Well we can't connect to multiplayer by ip so I tried the zone and that didn't work either. I then tried the crack file on my computer and I got through but he can't. I thought it may be because of a firewall but he had it turned off. Any ideas why we can't connect? I have windows 98 and he has xp but that shouldn't cause any problems should it?  ??? ???

OOOOH! Illegal buissiness!!!  Lips Sealed  Undecided
Why can't he just buy the game? it costs only 5 to 10 bucks!
I'm using a no-CD crack, but I own the CD so it's not illegal. I never had any problems with it.

  i'm trying to find the no-cd crack at this time and i own the game.  any sites recommended would be helpful.  i know it is not located here.  i just get tired of having to look for the cd to insert.  my cfs2 is already set up without the cd.  i hope i didn't offend or get in trouble here by requesting this.  thanks in advance...

removed original post
the game can be bought for something like €7 these days, so I do'nt realy understand why MS make so much trouble about it, but rules are rules aint it

must be other ways to protect your original disc

(I use the no cd crack to protect my legal copy)

We should be careful publicly posting sites hosting cracks of M$ games;
M$ have pursued a policy of closing those sites down, which is why they're harder to find now. Most of the sites which did host them and haven't been closed, no longer make them easy to obtain.
Most don't now, or host them for private members instead.
If I've satisfied myself that the game is owned and the requestor seems genuine, I would normally send a private msg keeping it out of the public domain.
I would never consider helping a pirate this way though.

[edit: I use the no-cd crack myself, but only to save wearing the cd I legally purchased and own. It also loads the game faster.]

Waco Jaco,

Would you remove the link from your post a quickly as possible? In this community we don't support piracy or other illegal buissiness. That link is not only visible to the people who actually own the CD... Roll Eyes
