Is there any way to add emergency landings to fs 2002 so that say, when your bingo fuel or an engine fails they wont give aircraft permission to take off when you are 7 miles out? And also, is there any way to have more than just one runway used at a time for example philadelphia intl has a long (10000 i think) runway for commercial airlines, it also has GA capability, so why not have ga aircraft take off on the 5000 runway instead of tying up the main runway, Or Pease intl, runway 15r for landings and 15l for takeoffs, seems like it would ease congestion at the major airports.
Its probably not the way they do it in real life but it makes more sense to me.

Hi EM.

You can change a flight plan in flight (standard) in FS04 but not in FS02.

And squawking an emergency frequency doesn't do squat in either FS02 or FS04 - you're pretty much on your own (ask anyone who has been cleared to land only to hear "Go around" as a 737 flies over your head).

The active runway is whatever the longest runway is that is headed into the wind.  If you want to change the active in your default flight just change the wind heading but you're still gonna be stuck with either end of the same runway.

what about making more than one runway active?  Like for instance in KSLC the only active runway is 16L/34R, so this gets extremely backed up, can it be possible to make 16R/34L active at the same time?

nope, wish FS8 was more realistic enough to do that, 9r/27l is not the only usable runway at PHL for gods sake. I had a bit of trouble landing my noorseman at it when we were under Katrina's remnants. (about a 30kt crosswind)

Anyone else?  There is no way to activate 2 runways at once?

It is, but involves a complicated process of adding a new airport with another runway with AFCAD over the old airport, and creating new AI tracks for the new airport using the new runway Wink
