Lol. Something the aircraft in your avatar is not renowned for!
Well, neither are airliners or helicopters, but you still feel the kick

Indeed. It'll be very sad to see it go...

i mean landing in a passenger jet in real life not flight sim.
there you are rotty daddy
I didn't mean to say I prefer cruise over takeoff and landing; I meant that it's all wonderful to me. In fact, cruise can be pretty dull, especially in an airliner.
When I'm at the controls, landing isn't exactly my favorite part, but doing it well is very satisfying...

I'd have to say approach/landing is my favorite part. Seeing the ground rush up and having a nice flare out and touchdown.
Although, I may have to change that now that I'm flying the Arrow... the procedure for the short field takeoff is quite exciting! Hit 56 on the A/S, then literally yank the plane off the ground, pitch for Vx while simultaniously raising the gear, keeping the plane at about 65 kts. It's much more exciting than in the Cessna's!
The day is always better when you're flying upside down.&&&&

How did I miss this? While I enjoy the whole flight I find the approach & landing the most satisfying part. Please remember that I'm talking about gliders & light aircraft (taildraggers) that I flew many years ago. Unfortunately however good the landing might be, this means the flight is over.
I have very little experience with modern aircraft & airliners are just another form of transport to me. The landing is definitely my favourite then as it means I've reached my destination.

I would have to say you missed an option in the pole........
EVERYTHING
8)
It doesn't matter what I am doing as long as it is in a plane. I get to drive at 100 miles / hr somtimes for my job with lights and sirens blazing..........that is a rush.........
but I would give it all up in an instant to fly for just another .5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Getting my PPL has been more exciting then anything I have done in my life.......including posting overseas in the military!! 8)
Hence the reason why when my wife and I are moved into MN very soon......I am leaving EMS for an asociates degree that includes a comercial, instrument, multi and CFI, CFII, CFIMulti...............I CAN"T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would have to say landing. But I mean the whole descent to landing. When I fly airliners, I'm quite annoying to my fiancee because I know just about when the descent will start and announce every step the pilot is doing.
I like being able to see landmarks and determing where we're going, which runway we'll land on.. etc. Of course, arriving at my destination is always exciting.
