A unique & enigmatic character. I haven't read about him for a very long time but I never quite figured him out.

the reasonable man adjusts to his souroundings, while the unreasonable man insists on adjusting his souroundings to him.&&&&therefore all progress is due to the unreasonable man.

Didn't he get raped by the Turks, and didnt he enjoy it later on?
I thought he died in a motorbike accident, or was he just a motorbike rider?

He did indeed die in a motorbike accident, I believe he was riding a Brough Superior when he came off.
As for the other rumour about his sexuality, well who knows. Wouldn't be the first neither....

Too right Ozzy, he did die in a motorbike accident whilst riding a Brough Superior. I have a friend who lives very close to 'Clouds Hill' the house that T. E. Lawrence rented in 1923. The house is very close to the spot where he had his accident & there is now a tree & a commemorative stone at the accident spot, I quite often stop there when i'm up that way & pay my respects.
Cheers,
TSC.
