Great, Wonderful, very very nice Dave Wink

I don't know about where you live but here on the Trent River just North of the Bay of Quinte between Toronto and Montreal we still don't see any signs of the trees turning.

I was about seventy 70 nauticlal miles North of here to visit another friend who has a strip on a beautiful lake and I made the comment about the trees not turning yet.  He thought it was about two or three weeks to early yet.
He suggested about Thanksgiving which is always the second Monday in October in Canada and the  fourth Thursday in November in your wonderful country is when the fall colours are in full bloom.
Several days after October 31st which is Halloween is when I put out the Christmas lights.  I have seen frost, snow and freezing rain on Halloween night here so I don't wait to long to get the lights outside up.

Again wonderful shots Dave. Wink

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

The fall colors are way, WAY late this year here in southern NH also.  Normally by now we'd be close to peak.  They haven't even really started turning yet.  Some leaves are just going from green to falling to the ground.  I don't think it will be a good "color season" this year.

We have not yet had ANY frost yet... let alone a solid killing frost.  Normally, we can have the first frost as early as the first week of September.  It HAS happened the last week of August on the very rare occasion.  I don't remember ever getting to October and not yet having ANY frost in the almost 30 years that I have lived here.

I am seeing dry cordwood selling here now for $290 a cord!  Last year at this time it was about $200 a cord.

best,
