Ok guys,
Just wondering if anyone will be up for a multiplayer on thursday Night at around 8pm (gmt) or around 2am(gmt)? flying from Birmingham EGBB to Heathrow, the flying time should be around 30 - 40 mins using GA aircraft,
If possible and is free at the time we will be using the WSPilots 23456 Yellowstone server but not to sure about Voice Comms at the moment,
if any one wants to suggest a different area to fly feel free.

nemo,
Just get the freeware Teamspeak program and install it for voice comms. Then log onto the WSPilots' flight server and type "?TS" into the chat box... and you'll get the setup info for connecting teamspeak to the server. It is simple.

I'd be keen to give it a go at the 8pm slot, I'll have to book the time with the social secretary and let you know.
You'll have to be patient. I'm more of a CFS3 person and am new to fs2004. Navigation tends to be of the "need to head south, which one's the compass" variety.

Steve,
When flying with a group, as long as SOMEONE is good at navigation....... you just have to play "follow the leader" after that person. That's why it is often important that people match airspeeds.........plus flying close is a lot of fun.
However, if you lose sight of the group when in the air........ welll,........ you're on your own then
. Particulary lif it is IFR conditions.
In that situation... a TACAS system installed that works online would be VERY helpful so you can see aircraft around you on the radar.
Best solution is to program in the planned flight plan on the GPS system before you depart..... then you can always pull that up to track your exact position. Even having just "GPS Direct" loaded can help.
I hope to join... but once again not sure yet. Either timeslot is equally doable/not doable right now
.
best,

Ah....you see......TACAS, GPS......so far my planes have had a "faster" lever and a "guns" button. Even flaps are exotic things to me
I should be ok, I'll read up on GPS though

If you were planning on joining into this online flight..........
Since this message thread kinda' got all messed up....... and we are not sure it is all fully straightened out yet....... I'd just plan on looking on the WSPilots 23456 flight server at the appropriate times for some of the SimV folks showing up at the aforementioned airport and times.
Might see you there.

Still hoping to join, but looking a bit doubtful.
Just to check though. Are we talking 8pm GMT (i.e. actually 9pm UK time, UK time is currently BST, British Summer Time, GMT +1), or 8pm BST which is 9pm CET?
And if you're confused, it's taken me a day and a half to figure out the question.
If it helps I am writing this at 12.08 BST which is currently GMT +1. In Paris it will be 13.08.

Ah............. so it is being hosted on YOUR loca machine... not on the WSPilots flight server!
OK.
If for some reason we can't connect to your machine... do you want to move the location to the WSP server as a "backup" plan?
best,

Thanks Nemo,
unfortunately having recently received the itinerary for tonight I may not now be able to make it.
I will see what I can do but don't hang on for me.
In the meantime I have fixed
my panel problems and can now see gps and horizon at the same time.
For the future more 'in-between' times would be better for me. 10 or 11 pm, family responsibilities tend to rule out anything too early or too late.
Cheers
Steve
