There isn't really all that much chat on the forums about books (alas), so normally if someone has a superb bit of lit. they tend to post about it in General for discussion/recommendation Wink

Generally speaking, the "best" way to propose a new forum is to spark interest in one of the "general" forums.

Taking the "book forum" as an example, someone might start a thread about a particular book.  remember, given the right circumstances, you can make a semester class about just ONE book, so if you have a good discussion on one book, and then there's another, and another, until it becomes a frequent thing in the "general"  forum, then Pete might be induced to open up a new forum...
