After my flight, i decide to hang around and take some pictures. I'm rewarded with sighting another Zodiac(?), this one looking very sporty in red. This is a very cool plane, whatever it is...
The glider club is flying today; I watch the old trainer slowly maneuver its way into the pattern.
A very nice touchdown, on the grass alongside the paved runway...
A little postflight debrief takes place, then the glider is moved with an ATV to the staging area for another tow.
Here's how it's done: This is the moment before the Citabria starts rolling. Note the guy holding the glider's wings level... this is a team sport.
The Citabria rolls at full throttle; the rope goes taut, and the glider starts rushing along behind...
...and they're off.

Nice shots, Rotty.
You know, you can solo a glider when you're 15?
That's pretty cool.

LOL... yes, it makes a grim background for these shots, and yes again, how convenient, esp. if one crashes
in
the graveyard!!
It's good to have dead folks next door; they never complain about the noise, and that land won't be developed any time soon. 47N is blessed with that and several nice big farm fields nearby, perfect for making emergency landings.
