Hi, I usually post in the freeware section but I acquired a plane via a financial transaction today and thought I'd post some shots..... it's a Porter.

...

I was eying up an Austrian Air National Guard (or equivalent) Pilatus PC-6 at the Brno (Czech Republic) CIAF air show today when some geezer dressed up like he was a pilot or something tried to flog me this plane.

...

Made by a member of their squadron/team/group of cool people/whatever who is also an FS fan and a programmer, this is apparently an original product which is not for sale anywhere except for wherever their Porter doth travel....

...

This is of course largely true of all freeware planes (except for the last bit) but I had a wad of cash and the screenshots looked quite nice so I succumbed and bought it....

...

The visual model is IMVHO quite nice, certainly colourful... unfortunately only with two paints, neither of them serious... and no contact info for the author... the performance is incredible, only a Harrier can do VSTOL better, and from what I know about the Porter thats about right, and I guess with the author being part of the squadron the sounds and panel are pretty authentic...

...

I'm taking my kids to the airshow tomorrow, so I'll try to get an email address or some more info out of the guy there... if they haven't left. And I'll post some shots of the other paint and the panel/VC too in the near future...in case anyone's interested...

...

Circuit taken at Innsbruck with freeware Austria mesh by Vince Van Veen, and non-freeware Flight Environment (Yeah! I could use it at last! Smiley)

...

Hope you liked this set, any comments welcome Smiley, would be interested to know if you think I wasted my money or got a good deal (cost about 10 dollars)...

Regards

Krigl

Pilatus rockjumper AKA turbo porter.

Shame that they didn't do the 750Hp Turbomeca version

$10?!

How did you get that price?!

But seriously, you did get a good deal (and sweet shots...the parrot is one of my favorite repaints for it).

Enjoy!

Thanks a lot, guys! I guess 10$ was okay then, it was a 'homemade' effort which someone decided to sell for money, so I guess that's why it was cheap...I've posted some more shots, with the interior...
