I think its a general problem with some programs that try to connect to the internet?

Are you using legitimate files? If you downloaded them for free, then please get rid of them and buy the actual software from their respective owners...

Yeah, they are bought and payed for!
My main concern was to see if any one else had seen the same thing with different types of virus software.

This is too weird. I did a scan with my AV today, same as yours AVG, and it showed trojans in the Christen Eagle, and the Dreamfleet T-O-M, and yes my Dreamfleet planes are all legit 8)

Well I just shot a e-mail off to Flight 1......
It has to be something in the downloaders showing up as a trojan.

It could be your anti-virus software, there was a big broohah a while back over some freeware kite (can't remember which), everyone with one certain type of anti-virus software got a warning...
I've never had a problem with any PMDG product.
There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

The freeware one...I am thinking it was the LIC Christen Eagle...I am not sure...maybe the LIC Deke....not very sure...

Interesting.
I just got my usual twice daily updates for my AVG virus software last night and the computer got scanned overnight. Suddenly I had two downloaded flight sim archives showing viruses. They have been on the machine for a while...and never got "tagged" before.
Both were freeware. Neither had yet been installed.
One was realtime_169948.zip and it said it had the DownloaderAgent.XS embedded in it.
The other was RealLifeLighteningFS2004.zip and it said it had Dropper.Generic.WF embedded in it.
I deleted both of them just in case.
I am not sure where I downloaded them from.... it COULD have been here... but it could have been elsewhere too.
Oh.... I ditched McAfee and Norton for AVG upon the recommendation of my "computer guru's" at the clone shop where I have been buying machines for 20 years. That is what THEY use to clean machines that come in for help. They swear that it is FAR better than the other two.
best,

The broohar over the freeware aircraft a few months ago was the Stearman, it was also AVG that gave the false positive.
I'm almost certain that it is the same in this case.

I own the Dreamfleet A36 and my avg did the same thing after it updated that day. Like Eno said it's just a false positive.

All anti-virus software will generate false-positives every once in a while. If you have had files on your comp for a while and they generate a virus warning after an A-V update you can suspect a false positive. The next A-V update will generally correct the problem.
