LOL Charlie - thats 3 of us that have been suprised by the Lanc. in the last few weeks. Unfortunately I had no batteries for my camera when it circled my house with the Spit & Hurricane & Jimbo was in Sheffield city center when he got suprised.

Cheers,

TSC.

Except my unknown bomber, I have seen, in the last week or so, one Tornado, one Harrier, and a Sea King or two, in the lakes last week, 2 Jags, one Tornado, one Chinook, all at some distance though.  Wink

Lol. I think I have an unfair advantage! The F-16 was the catch of the week for me! Grin

As for you're unknown type Andy, it really could only be a B-25 (maybe Grumpy going across the atlantic to its new home) or a Dassault Flamant perhaps...

It went northwards a couple days back, then went south again tonight. I did an airliners.net search and hit upon one from Duxford?

Grumpy was The Fighter Collection's B-25 based at Duxford, but was sold to Microsoft's Paul Allen sometime last year, but I don't know if it had already made the trans-atlantic trip.

Having looked on another forum there was another Lancashire resident who was querying the identity of the B-25 he saw last week... Smiley
