A 4000 mile radius around Groom Lake would include the entire continental US as well as Canada and Mexico!

What they are actually trying to get is 4000 square miles on the peaks overlooking Groom Lake. Extending the security cordon that far will make photography of the facility impossible.

And from what i found out while having a quick scan on the net, they are trying to buy the land in a 4000 mile radius of Area51.

And have they pinpointed the exact position of Area 51 either? Roll Eyes

I highly doubt that what was supposedly seen at Rendlesham was an Aurora, or secret spy plane. Not saying they don't exist, but take this quote for example:

"They could see a pulsating mass of coloured lights, described by witnesses as looking like a Christmas tree."

If you are going to be operating a top secret spy plane, you will not be fitting it with multi-coloured lights! It would obviously only add to suspicion. There could very well be an Aurora though, how long was it before the SR-71 was known about publicly?
