I'm interested in ww1 in a historical way. i. e first dogfights/bombing missions. i am actually puttin together a presentation on the history of aviation and it includes the major wars and developments of aircraft though the times. i would also like to see a few more flightsims with better graphics than say the red baron which was on a 486 updated for the more modern p.c's that would be a good game to play then.

I'm interested, though not passionately.  As a result of this thread, I began googling for Red Baron, of which I had very fond memories of playing many years ago and I found this site that has abandonware, which includes Dawn Patrol, free for the downloading.

Update:

Whoa!

Red Baron is there, Aces of the Pacific, 1942, B17, etc.  It's a gold mine of those old classics you have fond memories of!

Stiz I"m very interested in your project. World war 1 was truely the mother of air warfare. The basic tactics and mothod of air warfare where developed during that war. That was the most dagerous air war in history. The planes where slow and fragile. The pilots where brave and passionate. How can you not be exited by your project.

Go for it Stiz.

Thanks Stiz

This has been only a opinion

If it wasn't for CFS2 Korea I could get very interested in WWI. I say carry on with the project. If you can make CFS2 WWI half as good as they tell me Red Baron was you will have a winner.
