Hello: I have a problem whit the Ai Il-18D from Tolmachevo Traffic. The plane refuses to take off.
I try solve the problem changing the Il18d_2k2.air file for the .air file of other planes and rename it, but it not work. The CG of the Il-18 is always in the nose.

Any solution? Many thanks.

Regards from Spain.

Billy Rutherford has made a bunch of AI Il-18 repaints for some obscure airlines like Yuzhnaya and Anikay Air. One of these files  (avsim.com) contains an alternative FDE (which is the one i use myself too)

Russian planes: IL-76 (all standard length ones),  Tu-154 and Il-62, Tu-134 and An-24RV&&&&AI flightplans and repaints can be found here

Sorry for my incorrect location of the original post.

Thank you very much for the help Ivan, but... what is exactly FDE?

Regards from Spain.

FDE is the flight dynamics part of FS

Search avsim.com for aerocaribbean_il-18d.zip
That file has the necessary parts to get the AI Moskva to fly like it should do

Hello again Ivan. I have downloaded the aerocaribbean_il-18d.zip and changed the .air file of this plane, for the Il18d_2k2.air file of the Tolmachevo Traffic AI Il-18, and rename it. But the Tolmachevo Il-18 still refuses to take- off (of course I reduced weight and fuel, without results). Sad

Is necesary make more things that changin the .air file and rename it?

Please help me.

Regards from Spain.

Have you checked out the aircraft.cfg file?

Values in the .cfg file can overide the .air file. In particular look at the [flight tuning], [weight and balance], and [airplane geometery] sections.

By comparing to a similar aircraft you may be able to find the problem(s). If you can find a similar default a/c, it's aircraft.cfg will have notation explaining most of the parameters.

Dave

( If I can locate the a/c download I'll have a look.)

Edit: Looked at the 'aerocaribbean_il-18d.zip' mentioned by Ivan....Did you also do the necessary 'aircraft.cfg' edits as explained in the 'readme.txt' file?

That should fix it.
