Hey all, maybe you can point me in the right direction on this one?
I'm taking my CBT today even though i'm 21, been looking for a little 50 - 125cc motorbike to ride about on till i've got enough experiance to go for my direct access, what type of bike would you advise going for as its going to be a first bike?
would a CZ125 be anygood?
Thank You
Nemo

Hi Nemo well if you're going to be pottering around on it for a while go for the youngest bike you can afford, and probably best to avoid sport or moto-cross models as they'll be thrashed/stolen.
Hondas have the best reputation for reliability, but Kawasaki and Yamaha are good as well. I passed my bike test shortly before this two tier bike licence appeared on an SR125, never going to set the world on fire with it but it'd always start and get me where I wanted (as long as I didn't want to go over 75mph)

Just to let you know that i passed with flying colours
,
those little Honda CG125's are quite nippy, there was a choice of two bikes that i could use the above mentioned one and a Yamaha SR125 (with electric start
)
the instructor said to me to go on the Honda as it was the only one i could reach the floor on (only 5ft4).
to cut a long story short, when we went on the road, we reached speeds of upto 50mph
,
Looks like i'm going to be lookin for a little honda now,
Nemo

Well done on passing the CBT, just the BIG test to do now
And you can't go far wrong with Big-H bikes (most of mine have been)
