hello (new here)

I recently bought a new computer:

AMD Athlon 64 3500+
1 GB RAM
200 GB SATA HD
on board Ati Radeon x200 128 MB
FREE PIC EXPRESS SLOT !!!!!

and here are the results:
http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=paywareshots;action=displa...

I have some good payware thatI am constantly using while flying and my framerates get affected every now and then...
From payware posts I have seen here it seems that I am not too far from an optimum sim solution, and to be exact I think I need to upgrade my graphic card (even tho I love it so far!)

Possible Options are:
GFORCE 6800 GT PCI Express 256 MB
ATI RADEON X850 256 MB PCI Express

any suggestions or maybe screenshots of comparable systems with the two cards???

Thanks guys!

ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe&&AMD 64 3800 X2&&1 GB DDR400&&200 GB HD&&Ati Radeon X800 XT 256MB PCIe

Hi Century and welcome to SimV!!
Seems like a decent system. I recently got the BFG Tech 6800GT OC AGP 256MB. I am getting good FPS with it and if you would like to see some the shots, have a look
here

Keep in mind though, I have only had FS9 for about 4 months now, so it doesnt look its best. Eventually, after many tweaks and settings you should be getting good shots along with high FPS rates. At current, I get 60-80FPS in rural areas. It usually dips down to 25-30FPS in highly dense areas. I have everything in my FS9 maxed out. Along with some payware scenery such as the LAGO Rome scenery which is highly detailed, I get around 20FPS. Very manageable. The Fly-Tampa Series also takes it's toll on FPS, but not as much. My Dubai and San Francisco FPS usually stay at a healthy 25FPS.
As for y unew Video Card, I can suggest the GeForce 6800 GT PCI Express 256 MB. You could try tweaking your FS to make it look good with your current card.
Cheers,
Ashar

Get the 6800 GT, it performs better than a x850 (non-pro/xt).
