I thought I would post these. These are the cfg settings that come with Alaska Cinematic by Georender. These settings have made my flight sim expierience crisper everywhere I fly. Remember to make a backup of your cfg file incase you dont like them.

1. Locating the FS9 configuration file. The FS9 configuration file 'fs9.cfg' can be found in the following location 'C:\Documents and Settings\your_user_name\Application
Data\)Microsoft\FS9.  This assumes a default installation of Flight Simulator.  If you have made a custom installation then the path may be different.  In most cases the default installation is used.

2. Open the file using a simple text editor such as notepad/wordpad

3. Locate the section titled [DISPLAY]. Then modify the entries  so that they are the same as in the example below.

[DISPLAY]
UPPER_FRAMERATE_LIMIT=0
TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=800
WarnBadSecondary=0
[TERRAIN]
TERRAIN_ERROR_FACTOR=45.000000
TERRAIN_MIN_DEM_AREA=45.000000
TERRAIN_MAX_DEM_AREA=100.000000
TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL=19
TERRAIN_AUTOGEN_DENSITY=5
TERRAIN_USE_GRADIENT_MAP=1
TERRAIN_EXTENDED_TEXTURES=0
TERRAIN_DEFAULT_RADIUS=40.000000
TERRAIN_EXTENDED_RADIUS=60.000000
TERRAIN_EXTENDED_LEVELS=4.0
TERRAIN_TEXTURE_SIZE_EXP=8

TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL=20
;this sets the terrain mesh detail level in metres between points
;thus halving the detail of landscape for every number reduced
;I use 20 for roughly 100 foot intervals.
;                            18 = 150m DEM
;                            19 = 75m DEM
;                            20 = 37m DEM
;                            21 = 19m DEM
;
TERRAIN_TEXTURE_SIZE_EXP=8
;This controls the terrain texture size. Valid values are:
;8 = 256x256
;7 = 128x128
;6 = 64x64
;
TERRAIN_EXTENDED_TEXTURES=1 ; This set to 0 will disable the item
; this is configurable from within the game settings
;

...Mainboard: Asus P5K-Premium, CPU=Intel E6850 @ x8x450fsb 3.6ghz, RAM: 4gb PC8500 Team Dark, Video: NV8800GT, HDD: 2x1Tb Samsung F3 RAID-0 + 1Tb F3, PSU: Antec 550 Basiq, OS: Win7x64, Display: 24" WS LCD

And..

TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=800

Depends on your graphics card.. if you havn't got the latest kit..

Then 400 will increase your frames by 1.. while 800 will just loose fps..
