Bear I was not talking about CFS2 per say. A future Flight Simulator would include a crew station of course.James007

Well if we are in daydream land I would take CFS3 with a clickable TrackIR capable 3D cockpit,  CFS4's terrain & other enhancements + CFS2's fuel tank selection, carriers & world map.

Add in EAW's 250+ plane , all in the air at the same time, formations & Woten controler along with Falcon 4's dynamic campaign engine, avionics/comms models, flight system management, mission recon, BDA, FAC & ATC.

If y'all have never seen Falcon 4 before the basic engine start trainer will give you some idea of the level of detail.  99% of the items you see in the cockit actually functions.

Falcon 4 cold engine startup proceedure. Run the utility & click on the green circles to advance.

In the game if you go with a ramp start it will take about 10-12 minutes.  The inertial guidance system takes about 7-8 minutes to figure out where it is on the face of the earth.  Shocked

I went to the link and it wasn't entirely clear to me.

LOL, yeah, they are being kind of cryptic. Don't quote me on this, but this is the story as I've been able to gather:

There's a small group who have been tirelessly modding EAW, including hacking the source code to a certain extent. Apparently they had made contact with members of the original dev team, who may have given them hints, ect. At some point, someone got in contact with Atari, and bless them, they authorised a small group to modify the code. I'm still not clear as to just what will can be done, but if they can fix the hardware issues with my Radeon, I'll be happy.

I know this sort of thing isn't likely with Microsoft - but then again, Atari isn't exactly some indie developer either. It just made me realise there is a way MS could update cfs2, without making the code public. Nice inexpensive way to strengthen ties to the sim community...

Bear that the most ojective post I have ever read from you. I"m proud of you. I totally agree with you. That would be the ultimate Sim of all time if done properly.

I"m not familiar with the Falcon-4 program but I will take your word for it.

Dcunning I think Zero is right about the suppose code being release for EAW.

Here is what I know at this moment about activities in this and other in the World Sim.

CFS2:Bombadier is about to realese his Night campaign about the Night air war over Europe.
2.Stitz is develping a World war 1 campaign as well.
3.Wolfi is in the process  of making ground objects for the European theater as well.
4.Xavier is making around 70 new airbases for Japan. Now thats kool.

CFS3:1.MAW is still in development. To bee realese in the future.http://www.medairwar.com
2.There is also a World war one in development to be realese in the Future.

3.A Korean project has been release in the Netwing by Mathias in the CFS3 campaign section.http://www.netwings.org/library/CFS3%5FKorea/. Check it out.

EAW code is to be realese to the community soon. Thats exciting.

FB/PF new patch is to bee uploaded in the next few weeks. It includes the Ju88 and some Japanese and Italian planes.

A new Sim will soon to be realese. Its call Wings of Victory. Its base on the Battle of Britain. Its little short in scope but it looks good on paper never the less.

I recommend you guys to buy it if you can afford it. That way it might induce other developers into realizing that their is money to be made with developing this type of games.
Please join us with whatever talent you may have and help us and your self in the development of this great hobby.

This has been only a opinion
