Had to work in the city early today, so I thought I'd wander around nearby Central Park a bit afterwards and take some pictures. Okay, maybe 100 or so pictures... Grin It's the new digital camera; I can't help it. The highlights are from the Central Park Zoo, but bear with me (that's a hint, BTW) while I first show some other stuff. It was a perfect summer Saturday, much cooler and drier than it's been. The light was excellent, even at midday. I wish you could see these 5MP pix in all their glory; some are really nice. But they're all cropped and/or squinched down for posting.
Purty flowers...
...

Webster or Proust or some other famous geezer, enjoying some music...
...

The Sled-Dog Tribute, featuring the mighty Balto (look up his story; the Ititarod Race is held annually in his honor)...
...

Part of the beautiful gate to the Children's Zoo...
...

I sorta wanted to go on this airplane ride, but it looked a little scary...

I don't blame you for not getting on that airplane ride Rotty - i'm a bit suspect myself as to how much 'lift' those tiny wings would actually produce!!

Great pics btw.
