I've finally given up the ghost on getting my FS2004 to work decently on my current specs and have uninstalled it. I have just tried to install my old FS2002 instead and it wont let me. I keep getting an error message at 30% while insalling the jetranger textures.

I've had this problem before and managed to find a way around it but microsoft have taken down the FS2002 support and i cant remember what to do.

If it helps you can click here to see the old post.

The MS support site is still up - just not at the same address.  Try here.

Try cleaning the CD and shutting down all other applications.

Maybe you can help me out.  How do you make those clickable links?  I clicked on the hyperlink icon but all it does create an open and close url, hot a href.

Got it!

Thanks.  I hope this is easier with IE than it is with Firefox.  I'll just have to write it down like I do with the instructions for uploading images.

Thanks for the help but unfortunately it still wont install properly. I found what I had done before and that doesn't work either and neither does cleaning the disk.

any suggestions?

What kind of error message are you getting?  Is it associated specifically with the jetranger textures or is it a generic message?

It was an error message specific to that file.
