A couple of things on this really. Firstly i dont blame them, Danica has done nothing particulay impressive this season, whoopie she led a few laps at Indy, too bad it required her to miss a pit stop to even get there. And then theres the incidents at several race tracks where her poor re-starts have caused several cars to crash, or drop back alot of places.
And then theres this comment

Quote:
Four of the Indy Racing League's top drivers stayed away from a recent autograph session because rookie sensation Danica Patrick was allegedly getting special treatment.

But it's tough to argue that she shouldn't be.

Aside from the comments made above, Why should she get better treatment than Dan Wheldon? the guy won the Indy 500 and its a footnote, but Danica leads 4 laps and its headline news. Wheldon is 1 win away from tying and 2 from having the record for wins in a season, something which he will do i bet. Franchitti wins what is the closest thing to a home GP for him at Nashville and again its Danica who took the headlines. Herta winning (despite not really deserving to be there after the pitlane incident) his first race in two years and Danica retiring is the most important bit of news.
Shes hot, yes, we get that. She's not a great Indycar driver, Most rookies show some sign of improvement, she hasn't. Hell there are worse drivers, but i think she should go back to open wheel cars on proper tracks where she was actually a good driver. Lips Sealed Angry

Helloooooo?

If something sucks, it is the fact that racing has become some kind of pop culture with weenies as drivers and money in the centre. Roll Eyes

Sadly the day of the punch up for grid slots is over. Apparently it would upset sponsors Roll Eyes
Anyone else remember Senna going to punch i believe it was Johnny Herbet just because herbet passed Ayrton to unlap himself Smiley those were the days.

Heh. Sounds cool.
I was only interested in F1 from 1994 till 2003, because it was the time Frentzen took part.

+1 Smiley Maybe F1's commissioner was right (although he did exaggerate by saying women just be dressed in white like all other household appliances Grin)
