AB250 Submunition Container An early version of the cluster bomb, the AB250 was typically filled with hundreds of 1- or 2kg bomblets. After release, it would open, dispensing the bomblets either in a tight grouping (dropped at low altitude) or over a wider area (if dropped from a higher altitude.) It was particularly effective against troops and thin-skinned vehicles. Weight 550 lbs (250kg)

AB500 Submunition Container A larger version of the AB250, and just as brutally effective. Weight 1100 lbs (500kg)

Cheers Theis
