In many places, you can land a helo on a building. On previous FS version [like FS98], you could land on bridges.
But now, FS9 no longer has that drive-over-bridge feature. You either crash, or [uncheck crash detection] you just simply fall right though the surface.
Is there any tutorial out there that can teach how to create a drivable surface?
I remember seeing this one tutorial that taught you how to create effect for scenery, how to make vertices of an object light up, and even taught you how to create the drivable surface. BUT... I no longer have that tut, and I don't remember where I last saw it. Does anyone remember?
I want to create a scenery where you can drive on a race track on an elevated and angled surface.

Well, I finally learned how to modify the scenery object in Gmax so that it can have a drivable surface. But the problems comes after exporting.
I use Middleman and Mdlcommander and I exported the scenery model [a test track for my Ferrari] in Gmax using the latest Mdl SDK from M$.
Well, the export process was quick, but it never asked for coordinates and it only game me 2 separate files that have been put together by Gmax after the process: and XML file and a *.mdl file.
I tried to compile the two together using the latest BGL_Comp_SDK from M$, but no success.
How do I properly export this scenery object in Gmax into a simple *.bgl file for scenery?

Hi kahatu - Have you tried placing the mdl with Arno's ObplacerXML available from scenerydesign.org? You can compile all your objects into an object library with Library creator & call from there which is ideal for final distribution.
PS. To mods - I may be wrong, but I believe a reply to a thread in which I posted a reference to scenerydesign.org was deleted. Can I have some sort of explanation as to why?
Thanks
Birdy
