Well, I have narrowed my list for a first payware purchase down to three aircraft:
1.) Aerosoft A-10
2.) FS2x F-117A or PerfectFlight F-117A
3.) PMDG MD-11
After the fruitless attempt at finding a currently available F-15 or F-22, can anyone more experienced than me tell me anything about these three products?
Well, the A-10 just looks absolutely stunning. Nothing else much to say.
As for the Nighthawk, its not really any of the models that drew me, its just that I like the plane. And, of course, the question is, which one is better, the PerfectFlight F-117A or Nick Pike's model?
I know the PMDG MD-11 isn't close to being available, but hearing about PMDG's quality on their 737s, the working FMC, and looking at their pricetag ($35 ain't too steep), makes me wanna skip over the PerfectFlight MD-11 and wait for PMDG's version. I'm already enjoying my FedEx flights with the freeware MD-11s, but I really want a comprehensive model of my favorite commerical jet.
Huge thanks for any comments.

Well I don't know about Aerosoft nor PerfectFlgiht, but you really can't go wrong with PMDG. The only thing is when you say "I know the PMDG MD-11 isn't close to being available" you have to understand that means over a year from now if not longer. Which if that is the case you may want to get another aircraft to fly around in until then. PMDG has been showing screenshots of there 747 and it looks fantastic but it seems like it will never be released...

The A-10 from Aerosoft is an excellent model!!
It looks great and has zero impact on frame rates!!!
The PMDG MD-11 might be a bit much as they are designed with the true pilot in mind. You will definitely need to read the manual and there may be a learning curve.
The other two Aircraft I am not familiar with, but like I said, The Aerosoft A-10 is a real nice kite and you will have no problem flying her!
Good luck!!

Speaking of PMDG and Manuals...
They have released the manual for the 747-400, all 350 some odd pages of it.
If history serves as any example, they usually release the paperwork about a week or so before the aircraft.
I gotta go...gotta sweep the hanger and move some stuff outta the way! Must make room for the queen!

OK, my contribution!
I've got the Perfect Flight F-117, nice aircraft but wouldn't be my first choice.
I LOVE the PMDG stuff; I've got all versions of the 737 and the Beech 1900C & D, and they are all a joy to behold.
However, my choice would have to be the Aerosoft A-10. The model is terrific, the FD are superb (as you would expect from Aerosoft) and, as Dave said, it not a frame rate killer.
BTW, just to add to your dilemma, have you seen the later version of the DSB F-15E

Aerosoft A-10! I would totally buy it just for the G-Effects...
...as Ben, Jared, John, and Ed would know...
I got the PerfectFlight F-117, I was gonna ge the FS2x one, but it gave me a corrupt download, and I wasn't gonna put up with it again...

If you are going for THE ULTIMATE FS REALISM then go for PMDG, indeed a lot of manual reading but my best FS flights have been in their 737NG, so PMDG is what i'd definetly go for
cheers

Thanks to all for all the opinions.
Ah yes, another question...
Now, being a stupid yank, I'm looking at these Simmarket prices, and for some of them, they give me a price w/o VAT. Do I need to pay VAT, or not?

Thanks for the info.
I'm also looking into the Level-D 767 and the PMDG Beech 1900. I'm wondering what exactly is in this package; how many varients of 767 are there? All of them (200-400)?
As for the 1900, what is the difference between the D and C varients?
I think I'm gonna get that KMDW scenery from FlyTampa. Looks like a great addition to my hometown.
