Hi all,
I was just wondering, can I get rid of icons from the All Programs section? I have too many and I was wondering if I could do it safely without uninstalling anything. So can I get rid of icons in the All Programs part and be sure that the Program itself wont be uninstalled?
Cheers,

There is a 99% chance that anything in your start menu is a shortcut and can be safely deleted.

To be 100% certain use explorer to navigate to the start menu folders.  Anything that says "shortcut" is not a program and can be safely deleted.

...whilst on the subject of the Start Menu...
In Windows '98SE...>Start > Programs > right clicking within the opened list of programs enabled various options, one being to "Sort by Name alphabetically"...
This same option doesn't appear to be available in Windows XP (Classic mode)....?
As my list of programs at present are listed randomly, how can they be tidied-up alphabetically...A to Z...?
Many thanks...!

Paul.

Hi Mr Fozzer. If you have it set as a classic windows theme, its an option under sort by name.
