After looking at Ramsa's recent post with the FSCene textures for Europe installed... I just HAD to break down and fix the awful textures that are the default in Japan.  So I bought the Asia four season textures.

Simple download and simple manual install and 36 Euros for the four seasons for all of Asia.

Then I set up a dawn IFR flight from RJBB (Kansai) to RJAA (Narita) online at the Elite flightserver as JA100JB and took off.

All I can say is

WOW!

 Well worth the money.  Thanks Ramsa for "pushing me over the edge".



Now it looks a lot more like the Japan that I know well from the air.  Still not enough golf courses near Tokyo though  .

Actually, I fly in Japan all the time.  In my "real life" (what's that) I have some connections to Japan.  I really enjoy flying there and seeing places that I know.

That's why I just HAD to get textures that had any resembance to Japan.  The default ones were just unbareable.  And hence the JAL repaint I did of the 146-200 (my first repaint).

Now if I could just find autogen that would replace the buildings there with more appropriate ones....... I'd be a happy camper.

I just downloaded 7 new fs2004 freeware airports off of a Japanese language page.  Those will get installed soon.  And I am always searching for any freeware add-ons for Japan.
