I am in my final stages of ordering parts. I have decided on everything except for HDD.
I was planing to get a WD cavair SATA150 drive. However, I have found some good deals on Seagate Baracuda drives as well as a couple of Maxtors.
I will be getting the biggest capacity I can for my budget, <$100. It seems to be 120GB - 250GB depending on the deal of the day.
Does the brand really matter between these top competitors? I notice that a lot of folks here run the WD cavair.
Any opinions welcomed.
Joe

I prefer Maxtor, but any of them will be good. Get the one with the best deal for the specs you want.

WD and maxtor are all good brands. Seagate is alo pretty decent.
Stay away from IBM drives though. I still remember the "death stars" (some of you here know what I'm talking).

It's mostly up to your choice. I'm Hitachi inclined, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
