On the IBM Easy options flight yoke, I wasn't happy using the single slider throttle to control the engines and I can't control it invidually.
Been waiting over 2 years for the Simavionics 757/767 throttle quad. Still nothing except pictures of the case and the lights showed, they got the words spelled wrong once. It read ENGINE VALUE, not ENGINE VALVE!
Who wants to know when the ENGINE VALUE dropped like a rock when it explodes!
So here comes Ebay. One week later I win a CH throttle quad, new and still sealed in the box, for $80.
Got it, took it out and tested it out, all systems go.
So this is what I had in mind, a 767/Cessna combo throttle quad!
Fly any Boeing with the dual throttle levers, or fly a Cessna with a knob throttle!
2 days of searching the net, I found pictures from a maintenance dept taking measurments on a 767 throttle (all the rulers in the pictures was in Cm, not inches, must been in Europe)
2 weeks later after construction, painting not done yet:
http://www.ls1camaro.net/freehosting/FLPS.JPGAs you can see here, here's the Cessna throttle knob, the switches below it. The far right is the Cessna Flaps.
Far left is the landing gear (the CH throttle knob slotted to fit the switch)
http://www.ls1camaro.net/freehosting/CESSNA.JPGNow here's how I made it to work, no slop ball linkages.
(the wires in the background is for the Boeing Flaps and the thrust reversers)
http://www.ls1camaro.net/freehosting/CHBL.JPGNow here's the spoilers lever, variable too
http://www.ls1camaro.net/freehosting/THCH.JPGNow you can see the Boeing flaps, it's indented so there's friction stop you can feel at every flap setting
http://www.ls1camaro.net/freehosting/throt.jpgAnd this shows the thrust reversers in operation:
http://www.ls1camaro.net/freehosting/TRENG.JPGBest of all, it's all into ONE USB connection.
So with that done, it works great
