Ah, yes, I forgot that you don't get into a turning dogfight with a Zero in a Corsair. I'm used to Spits Wink I got my a** shot off so many times it was hard to find a screen shot that did not feature me crashing and burning! Roll Eyes Still it is a very, very nice aeroplane and plenty fast enough to run away and hide.

Kevin had to explain to me the different technique for fighting in a Corsair, an interesting lecture whilst I was floating from Malta to Italy Embarrassed Grin
But a good pilot should always be learning... damned Everest of a learning curve Shocked

If you look at the wing area on a Corsair compared to that on a Spit, I think you'll be surprised just how huge it is.  You may not be able to turn in on a Zero, but you can sure as hell out climb them and out dive them.  The Jap planes have a lot less armament, so if you get head to head with one, you'll probably come out on top.

Great shots Roger; you know I've had this thing for over a week now and I have yet to try and fold the wings.  It never even occurred to me.  Roll Eyes  Now if Baz will just get my Super Corsair out, I'll be (literally) in hog heaven...
