Hello Lads ...!
Can anyone recommend a quiet site for low and slow Fozzer to fly his low and slow 'planes with like-minded low and slow flyers...!
...gettin' too old for rushing around in jet-propelled F18's and Jumbo 737's....
...just the occasional spot of fishing in a Beaver amfib, or a short sight-seeing trip in a Cessna 150, or even a sail around in a Microlight/Flexwing... 8)....!

(All need to carry a heart resuscitation kit on-board, and a bottle of Whiskey)...Shocked...!

Cheers Lads...!

Paul....(Low and Slow Fozzer)... Wink...!

...does eno have heart problems....?
...and does he water-down the Whiskey...?
...especially on a Sunday...?

LOL...!

Cheers Ozzy...!

Paul.

P.S. The funny fing is...
I had no trouble instantly geting into "Bushnet" as a result of John's recommendations here...>>>

http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=Multi;action=display;num=1...

It was too late in the night to continue, but it was the ONLY site I have ever managed to connect to without any trouble using the FS 2004 in-built Multi-Player option.

Would "Bushnet" be suitable for Low and Slow Fozzer....?
...before I fall asleep and my fishing line breakes...?
LOL...!

Paul...ZZZZzzzzzz.....

Hi Oz....!

I've had no end of probs getting connected to eno's flights, quoting his ISP address, password, etc!

...ports, Win XP protection, Norton, Zone Labs, etc, etc
Tried it....It never worked...!

"Bushnet"* was instant...no mods, no probs...!!

Strange...!

Paul.

Fozzer,

The Bushnet servers are all ABOUT "Low and Slow".  it is the adjunct online site to the Bush Flying Unlimited virtual flying club / airline which focuses ion Alaska.  Most all you'll see on there are single engine props and the occasional DC-3.  Problem is that it is not heavily trafficed most times.

And I am VERY glad it worked for you... nice to hear that you are finally "online" flying.   Grin

Keep in mind that sometimes it is ANOTHER flyer who does not have his/her ports open properly that prevents YOU from connecting.  I've had this problem MANY times on open flight servers.  You typically get the dreaded "All Players Were Not Able To Connect" message after waiting to connect.  This is a bug in FS2004....and is known to Microsoft.  Hopefully it will be corrected in the next version.

http://www.airflyers.net/

You can try this site above for live ATC..... but you have to fly in the Seattle area.  There is always a good mix of GA single engine props and paid metal cigars.  And it is typically pretty active most all the time.  Free flight with stated verbal intentions when no ATC is on.

I have been doing flights there a lot lately....GREAT ATC folks.  You need Teamspeak to fly there ...and use realworld ATC procedures... but thay are very newbie friendly as to getting all the procedures down.  I've been doing FedEx hops in my BAe 146-200 from Seattle to Spokane and back.

Go to the webpage for the "rules".......... it is strictly an "over 18" flying site.

best,

..................john

PS: Just figured out I will miss flying in this Saturday night's "Round The USA Tour" flight.  Oh well.

What about www.wspilots.com ....it's a server with a hoplist and you could also just free flight wherever you want, and there's some cool and funny people to be had there, I think you'd enjoy yourself Fozz! 8)

Ah was just going to recommend www.wspilots.com as well.  Theres always some nice people on.  The hop list is great too, get some nice fun approaches, plus some extensive in the bush flying.  Whenever im done with ATC, or like a quiet relaxing flight, wspilots is where its at Smiley  Nothing like pulling out the good ole dhc-2 beaver!

Cheers,
RB

Yeah... WSPilots is another place I hang out sometimes.  I like that one a lot too.  But I didn't recommend it to Fozzer because of the non standard ports issue.  He is having a bit of a time getting used to "the ports thing"   Wink

Hi Ken....!

Its just that our individual time-pieces are 5-6 hours out of kilter... Cry...!
While you and Wendy are enjoying a nice hot supper...or whatever... Wink...and chuffing around in your Moth, poor old Foz is sitting in the dark in his living room, in the middle of the flippin' night with matchsticks propping his eye-lids open desperately trying to keep awake... Embarrassed...!
LOL...!

Cheers Ken and Wendy...!
