I think that we should get an awesome logo for simv!  We don't really have one, but I think we need it, since most other sites do.  We could even have a contest to pick one Wink

We do not "need" a new logo

One of the reasons to create a logo is to provide people with a recognizable point.  Any organization does NOT want to be changing "logos" too often, otherwise the visitors may not necessarily remember the place/organization too well... no, shall we say, 'permanence'.

Nice thought - but tell me what site has an 'awesome logo'?

Mostly it's just a simple, old fasioned font & a little shadow ..

I'd love to see one ......

Then  I suppose CNN, Coka Cola, BBC, Sony, Nike all have the same - a simple font .......

That's all you need Wink
But go ahead........ I'd be very happy if someone came up with a better & more stylish SimV logo ........

Thats actually been done in the past.  I remember several years ago when Craig White did a SimV repaint for the FS2002 B777.  He made 3 versions, a standard SimV version, a version which featured the names of all the (then) moderators on the forum painted on the side, and a version with all the names of the forum residents (there was 10 or so) painted on the side.  It was very cool.

Guys - if you REALLY want to make a "SimVAir" livery, PLEASE - an image of Pete reclining along the fuselage side grinning is NOT appetizing ...   this is Simviation, not Cosmopolitan ©!

It would be to much now, but when the forum was young it was a different story.  I believe the only active members who have their names on the plane (if I remember right) is myself, BMan, Woodloose, and the member formly known as Grumpy1.  But, I could be wrong.  I think its also the old logo (but it might be the new one).

Anyway, its here if you FS2002 guys want to check it out: http://www.simviation.com/fs2002jets30.htm

Yeah, I knew you were on one of them-but I could of sworn you were on the Resident plane as well (I believe you were the first "Resident" on SimV-but it was called something different originally; like "Waldo" or something  Roll Eyes).  Anyway, that repaint was sweet.   Grin

I just remember I was the forum leader for a day or 2 (the first couple days the "new" forum was around) and then I was quickly passed.  I also remember you mentioning you had a day with like 100 posts back then!

I made one repaint of a 744 with SimV paint scheme. It features our two known mascots. Unfortunately, I forgot to include FLUFFY - The Destroyer of Worlds -
