its now about 5 seconds a lap slower than the current laps round Jerez. and about 7 seconds or so slower than last year. So it is about the same speed as a GP2 car right now.

It will be interesting watching V8's try to survive the one engine rule. Somewhere I read that these things will be reaching 21,000 rpm. I think that this plan to cut costs will actually cost F-1 teams more than they save because of mech failures.

might mean renault and williams have to add a 7th gear like the rest finally. that or they could all jump up to 8 gears, or have really long periods between shifts.

Panis now thinks they will be about 2.5 seconds slower than this year, and the vibrations are alot more with the new engines.
How this encourages overtaking i dont know. But we shall see.

It encourages overtaking when the cars vibrate themselves off the track, so the Minadis can win. That would make some headlinesl.
