What is the best scenery in your opinion.  I want to spruce up FS9 a little better than it is.  I want to purchase a scenery that is highly detailed yet not a framerate hog.  I prefer to stick with the US and Europe which opens me to alot.  Anyways I was looking at some screenshots of Paris which looked fantastic and I mean FANTASTICLY REAL.  So any opinions welcomed, remember I am looking for something that is framerate friendly, and REAL looking.

Well..... Here I go on my rambling  Grin.... For Europe and Canada I have FS Genesis.... Very good..... and if you wanna spruce up the skys Use Flight Environment, it adds a LOT to FS9 then theres the recently realeased FSpassengers in wich makes your sim Real and fun! Its a whole new dimension! But for Scenery you should prolly get world Mesh (FS genesis and others)  and then everywhere will look good, then when you see a good package out and about and you fly there get it, its what I do and I have hawii scenery, Grand Canyon, Europe, Canada, FS Roads..... Ultimate terrain is real good for US and Canada + Alaska in two different packages, adds rails roads and rivers! But you might want clouds too.... Makes the reality of the sky come to life, then FS passengers and your set..... Now enough of my rambling, Hope this is a good start, Cheers, Gunny

FSScene will enhance allot of your ground textures.
It is zero on frame rates and you can buy it for the country you want to fly.
It is definitely the foundation for scenery enhancement IMHO.

A real nice add on for terrain mesh is a global mesh by Pilots FSGlobal 2005. This Mesh is around 78 and will add allot of dimension to your sim. Higher mountains, deeper canyons, etc.... It covers the world too!

Both products above have virtually zero impact on frame rates.
With those two add ons working together, your sim will definitely be a more "visual" place to fly!  Wink

After the above "foundation" is set up, then buy yourself add on sceneries like Airports and Cities.

Well, I downloaded MegaCity Denver, and it is great, although I just wish they did a bigger area, like the whole state.  amazing how real it looks, and I also purchsed FlyTampa San Francisco, since I already owned their Miami airport edition.  I am thinking of buying MegaCity Dallas Fort Worth and maybe MegaCity or Scenery San Francisco...

I have Extreme Landscapes.  I like it, but it seems to be an "also-ran" in the community.  Denver looked like it's supposed to be, buttes near Golden and all.  Los Angeles looked very good.  I even was able to spot Portugese Bend around Palos Verdes.
