.......of informing the public about the group's progress.
From time to time we'll be moving topics from the private Desert Rats developers forum at Netwings to the public CFS3 forum so that you guys and girls get an idea of what we are up to and to let you participate a bit.
First one is this one with the shocking title "Italianwings resignation".
Not to worry, nobody's leaving.    Grin

Thats great Mathias. I"m looking forward to its completion. Thanks for the good news.

Now I have two question for you. First when is it going to release and how will it be release. The secound is whats your next project after that.

Are you ever going to include the Pacific Theater as a future project or are we going stay in the European theater for all future projects.

Thank you Mathias

Heya James,
no ETA yet, we where originally aiming for a late 2005 release, not shure though if we can keep that date.
Filesize will be in the GB range so there'll most likely be a CD swap.
You sign up to receive a free copy and obligue yourself to forward 5 or so copies to others.
Wether there'll be a web-based download location is not clear yet given the file size and bandwidth issues.
Not shure what's next, LOL.
Some are indeed thinking about making the pazific.
Don't think though that I'll participate in such an addon as this theathre is just plain boring to me, LOL.
I have still a couple of nightwar addons in my folders that I'm going to finish one of those days.  Grin

Mathias thank you for responding to my inquiring question. Your honesty is refreshing. I already figure that out a long time ago  that you did not like or care for the Pacific Theater. LoL

I"m of a differenrt opinion. I think of world war two was as global war instead of just one little continent
war.

Its just more exciting when you consider the global implication that World war two was than just thinking of it as a local event.

Thats my biggest disappointment with CFS3 was that It did not come with a World map like its previous program.

That limited the Simulator to just one Theater of war. Now to me thats reallly boring.

I like to have the possibility of escorting the B17 over Europe as well to takeoff a carrier to deffend it against Kamikazee attacks.

Its just more interesting when you have more possible enemies with different tatics and sceneries than just fighting the same enemy in the and same sceneries all the time. Now thats boring to me.

Its not that I like the Pacific Theater more than the European Theater. Its that World war two was a global event and it should be treated as one.

Why do you think CFS2 is still consider a great World war two Simulator and why Forggoten Battle/Aca/Pacific program is so much better today than it was just a year ago.

Its because you got the  possibility to fly in different in theaters with all sort of different planes.

I consider that a lot fun.

I"m not say that CFS3 is a bad Simulator. Its a very good simulator. Its just a little limit in scope for my taste.

I still fly in it. But not as often as if it had included other Theaters.

I hope you do not get offended. But some of you Guys need some European Theater rehab. LoL
Its just a joke Mathias.

I think you are honest and you are entitle to your opinion. I do respect that.

Hey I like your Website a lot. But I wish you and others like you would be more open minded about World war two Simulition in general.

Thank for all your work and contributbution on this  program and the previuos one as well.

Have a good day

James007
